Polyaluminum Chloride is one of the most efficient water treatment chemicals utilized. It is vastly used in both potable water and wastewater treatment as it provides high coagulation efficiency and it has the widest pH and temperature application ranges compared to other water treatment chemicals. It is made by reacting aluminum with hydrochloric acid. It is prepared and reacted with hydrochloric acid. Polyaluminum Chloride is an acidic solution that typically comes in yellow color with water at all concentrations although dilute solutions precipitate Aluminum Hydroxide (Al(OH)3).
